Cards and Tags APOCD February Kit.

OK my very last share of the February kit.
As I mentioned in my last post I got
5 layouts, 2 cards and some tags from the kit.
That's a pretty good haul. :)

Such a satisfying feeling when you have just a few alphas and some scraps of paper left from a kit.
Sign of a good kit I think. ;)

Here are the tags I made with the scraps that were left over after I'd finished the layouts.

The ribbon and manilla tags were from my stash but the rest was from the kit.

And two special cards for my twins.
They're turning 10 years old (eeeeK) this weekend!

The March kit goes on sale Monday 4th March at 8pm.
Over here

I'm off to the Papercraft and Scrapbook Expo tomorrow at
the Exhibition Building in Melbourne.
So if anyones going please make sure you say hi
it's always so nice to meet fellow scrappy bloggers.
Cheers. :)

Scrapfriends - February sketch

Hi, for the first time in months I managed to get a challenge done!!
Been so busy lately and this week finally decided to have a clean out of the scrap room!
Oh dear what a mess it was!
I still have a lot of stuff to go through though, saving that for another day.
So I chose the current sketch at scrapfriends because I love their sketches.
This is what I came up with.

Got to use one of the new Prima stencils with texture paste and gelatos.
Love this 2Crafty title, just some gesso and ink to alter it.

Also some scrolls from 2Crafty and D-Lish Scraps flowers.

thanks for stopping by,
cheers. :)

APOCD - Fifth Layout!!!

This is the fifth Layout I did with the February kit from
A Piece of Cake Designs and I love how it turned out.
Let me tell you about my inspiration for this layout.
It all started with washi tape!
Each kit from APOCD comes with a roll of washi tape and up until this layout I hadn't used much of the washi that came in this kit so I wanted to make it the star of this layout.

I decided on making a banner using lots and lots of the washi, I wanted it to be really full with texture
and it was also a good way to link each of the photo's in the design of my page.
Then I added in pieces of the
vellum and glitter ribbon form the kit.
Lastly I added some sequins and stars and even some of the exclamation
points from the Studio Calico
wood veneer letters that came in the kit.

Another close up of the banner and some of the ink splats and splashes I added to the cardstock
before I stuck everything down.
Hope you've enjoined all the layouts I've been sharing with this gorgeous kit. :)
I believe there are still one or two left if you want one head over here.
I have just one final little share with this kit so pop back in a day or two.
Cheers.

APOCD - February Kit 3rd share.

This kit from APOCD has been fabulous to get my Mojo flying.
I ended up making 5 layouts, 2 cards and 4 tags from the kit!
Pretty happy with that tally.
So here's another of the layouts.

Here's a close-up of my journalling!
The things you do as a Mum to three boys.
I tell you what though, I thought they might go easy on me.
But no they were using me as leverage to get as high as they could!

You can also see the window I cut from the cardstock and then placed the vellum behind.
The window also helped link all three of the photo and paper clusters.

Arrows and boy layouts kinda go hand in hand, add in some glitter
and it's looking super fun and sparkly! :)

I'll share the final layout and cards and tags next week.
Cheers.
Thanks for looking. :)

APOCD - February Guest DT 2nd Share

Hi, I want to share two layouts I have done with the gorgeous February kit from

I cut some banner strips and arrow heads from the gorgeous sparkly ribbon in the kit.

Love these Studio Calico wood veneers!
And one of the cherry flairs from the kit.

Now I haven't done this thrifty type of scrapping for a while I used to do it a lot.
For a time there whenever I liked both sides of a patterned paper I'd scrap on both sides!
So that's what I did with this ledger paper that was in the kit.

The cool alphabet card and also the wood grain patterned one and bar code are all part of the packaging from the wood veneers.

And a cluster of speech bubbles for my journalling.

There are still a couple of these delicious kits available here
Thanks for much for dropping by.
Cheers. :)

2crafty February Share

Cricket! Two of my boys are complete cricket diehards, just like their Dad!
They can rattle off stats like nobodies business and are
really enjoying their second year in the under 11's.
This particular afternoon they opened the batting together and
were quite chuffed with themselves.
I did this layout for one of my 2Crafty Chipboard Design team projects for February.
You can see my other layouts over here.

First I just wanted to show you the template I used on this layout.
I saved this piece of cardboard from a box of cupcakes I bought at the supermarket!
Waste not want not. :)

I used lots of words from the cricket pack of 2Crafty and some circles as well the scroll
under the photograph.

Thanks for stopping by, and thank you
for your kind comments.
It's so nice to hear what you think of my scrapping.
Cheers. :)

CSI #59 - Guest DT

Hi. I'm just popping in to share my second Guest Design Team layout for

Here's my layout.

I provided evidence using 2 2Crafty Chipboard frames over my photo's.
I've used a couple of APOCD Flair buttons from the february release which can be found here

A close up of some of my evidence is the dry embossed flowers I made using a sizzix die.
I provided evidence using 2 2Crafty Chipboard frames over my photo's.

More evidence with curls and flourishes in this lovely 2Crafty Chipboard Piece.

My testimony is inspired by the canvas and different sizes of fonts I used for my Journalling.

Thanks for taking time to stop by my blog I appreciate it.
Cheers. :)

A Piece of Cake Designs - first share

Ok so sorry for the tease in my last post. ;)
so I'm back tonight to show the whole layout!
This is my first layout with the
February Kit from

The photo is of my eldest son and I just before he left for his first school camp.

How cool is this paper from Amy Tangerine in the kit? I used Faber Castell Gelatos to colour
the hearts, arrows and clouds.
These Cherry Flairs below were part of the February Flair release at APOCD
and you can purchase them here.  Love them!!!

I cut out individual speech bubbles from the Studio Calico paper and
stretched them from corner to corner on my layout.

Hope you liked this layout, and thanks for popping by.
Cheers. :)

Show Us Your Stuff - February Challenge

This is the prompt for February's challenge at Show Us your Stuff.

I was inspired by the the word 'creative' and went with this using a photo of a
scrappy retreat I went on last year where I met so many like minded creative women.
Looking forward to doing it again this year!
Here's my layout.

I love these glitz papers, so pretty!

As you know at SUYS we're all about handmade so I've included two
handmade items on my layout. Each of them from are from our February sponsors.
There's a woodgrain flair button from A Piece of Cake Designs.
And felt embellishments from scrAp this.
I just love the tag and red heart, so cute.

And of course some 2Crafty Chipboard wispy vines that I've cut into pieces and coloured
with Heidi Swapp Color Shine mists.

Hope you can join in this month at SUYS.
Cheers.

Kaisercraft- BaseCoat and 75cent

Hey all, these are the last two of my Kaisercraft layouts to share with you.
I love the basecoat range it's got to be one of my all time favourites from
Kaisercraft. I teamed it up with some papers from the class act range just to add some bright colours
to the layout.

I tried to achieve a real grungy/boy/graffiti feel to this layout of my Mum with seven of her eight grandsons.

A speckled affect on these cogs with paint dabbers.

And some graffiti on the brick wall! I printed out a graffiti font and traced out the letters I needed onto
baking paper and then imprinted it onto the cardstock.   Also lots of texture stamps and paint splats on the wall to add to the grungy feel.

And the 75cent range.
Lots of pretty images and greeny/blues in this range.

Cheers people catch you next time :)
Leonie.

2Crafty Chipboard and CSI collaboration

Hello Bloggers, welcome to a new week!
Some exciting things happening at 2Crafty Chipboard this month.
If your not aware already 2crafty is sponsoring the February challenges at CSI this month.
So the 2crafty DT were asked to guest design over at CSI for the month of February.
How exciting right?
I have to confess though I've never participated in a CSI challenge!!!
Of course I'd heard about them and seen many inspiring layouts on the blogs that I read.
So this was a great opportunity for me to try out a new challenge and let me tell you
it was a heap of fun.
Below is the first of two challenges I'll be doing.
Case file # 57

I've used several 2Crafty Chipboard pieces on this layout including the Folk Hearts, The Corner leafy Twigs, the Captured Memories
My evidence is the hearts, leaves/vines and birds.

The big textured heart on my background was made using an old Heidi Swapp Mask that has been in my stash for years and makes an appearance every now and then.
One of the reasons I love masks and stencils. You may not use them all everyday but they certainly never wear out!

My testimony is hearts on my journalling spot and journalling about a love story.

So pop over to the CSI site here and give one of the February challenges a go to win some awesome 2Crafty Cipboard.
