Crayola Watercolour Paints

Hello, I hope you're enjoying your weekend wherever you may be.
School Holidays have just begun here for the next two weeks so with four kids home I'm not sure that much scrapping will get done but I have one more share from last weekend to post.

I created this layout using watercolour paints and embellishments from the

The colours in the paints were so vibrant.

It was quite fun painting over these stamped images and I can see I'll be using these paints plenty
in my scrapbooking!

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for your lovely comments.

Echo Park - Here and Now

Hello, back again with another layout created this past weekend and yes it's another
'just because' layout.

I used 6x6 papers from the Cupcake Kit I bought from Here
There are 12 6x6" papers in the cupcake kit amongst other things.  Like an awesome set of watercolour paints but I'll save that for the next post. ;)
This size of papers are so great for the way I scrap-
Because I use only small amounts of patterned paper I can tell these papers are going to go a long way.
This range from Echo Park is nice and bright so it's right up my alley too.

I used Gelatos on the base cardstock, using a technique I haven't tried before and I really
like the result!  And I thought after having the Gelatos for about a year now I'd tried just about
all that you could do with them.
Love discovering new things about products I've had for a while!

I added some ripped up pieces of washi and stamping to the background.

Thanks for dropping by.

Maggie Holmes - Crate Paper

Hello and welcome to a new week.
I had a truly wonderful weekend with seven other arty/scrappy friends.
We stayed at a lovely holiday house down on the coast and spent hours chatting, laughing and
scrapping.  Thanks for a great weekend girls.

I did manage to scrap a couple of DT layouts but the rest of the 8 pages I did were all
'just because' pages.
Not for any particular challenge, group or competition.  Just purely for the fun of gluing paper and photos and documenting family stories. Bliss.

Here's one page I scrapped using the lovely Crate Paper range by Maggie Holmes.

I used a Prima stencil, texture paste, stamping and Color Shine sprays on the background.

Thanks for stopping by, I'll be back to share more soon.

Heidi Swapp and Distress Paints

Hi!
Thought I might pop in today and share a layout I created for a Camp Mojo challenge.  Just some challenges to get the 'mojo' flowing before we go on camp in August! So looking forward to this weekend in the Hunter Valley and it's only 57 days away. Not that I'm counting down or anything. ;)

So we had a challenge to use some Heidi Swapp Products on a page along with paint and more than two photo's.  Here's my take on it.

My Daughter came home from the school book fair recently with a recipe book for Cake Pops! So of course we had a go at making them and these are the result.

I used Distress Paints  on the background,  some Heidi Swapp Mistable banners and Buzz word stickers.

Some lovely HS papers. And Stamping with Distress Paints and Dylusions stamps.

thanks for stopping by my blog. :)

Stamp It Masters Challenge.

I think it's time I shared another of my Masters Layouts.
This one is for the Stamp It Challenge.  We each received some white cardstock, manilla tags, paper flowers, rubber stamps and a Dylusions stencil and mists.  I was really looking forward to this challenge.
Although the Pink and purple sprays I received scared me a little at first (not really my colours) but I added orange believe it or not and a touch of turquoise and I was happier with that combo.
It's still super bright though, but well that's how I scrap. ;)
I printed my photo's in black and white so although the colours are super bright I think the photo's still
make a statement and become the centre of the page.

I layered up the flowers we received and stamped on them, inked them lightly and added some stickles for a little bit of glitter.

Sequins are so easier to add and great to scatter about.

And a couple of close-ups of my journalling on the tags.

This layout was in the mothers day issue of the magazine so I used the photo's that
I took from Mothers day 2012.

Happy Weekend everyone and thank you for the comments you leave, they are much appreciated.

Scrap For Help - June Challenge.

June Scrap for help challenge is up on the blog and I'm here to share my Layout for the challenge to
use wood/twigs on your layout.

Here's the page I created.  I was scrapping a layout of two of the kids playing in the fallen leaves from our Claret Ash tree so I went out and collected some of the leaves and small twigs from the same tree.
I used these on the background of my page, using Mod Podge to adhere them. Then adding some
splashes of Autumnal coloured inks.

I also bundled some of the twigs together with twine and used them as an embellishment under my Photo's, topping it off with a Green Tara flower.

Just a close up of the inks and some stamping with Gelatos.

So I hope you can find the time to join in our challenge this month.
Our sponsor for the month of June Is 13@rts.  A fabulous prize this month!
and the Prize pack for one Lucky winner.......

Great prize hey?!

Scrap Around The World - June

Hello Scrappy friends, I'm here to share the layout I scrapped for the June Challenge
The team at SATW were blown away by the amount and quality of
entries in our first challenge last month.
Thank you so much to everyone that participated.
I wonder if we can top it this month?
It certainly is a cool sketch and lovely mood board this month as I'll show you.
So I hope we inspire lots of you to come join in the fun with us.

This is my page.

Here's the mood board from Design Team member Anupama Choudary, together with the sketch from our resident sketch artist Julianne McKenna-De Lumen.

The above image MUST appear on the blog post containing your challenge

entry -you also need to mention that you are playing along with the current

challenge at Scrap Around The World & LINK UP TO IT please,

On to some close-ups.
As you can see I was inspired by the vintage images of cameras in the mood board.
I used these Prima wood Veneer cameras as a banner under my photo similar to the sketch.

I was also inspired by some of the colours in the mood board, especially the turquoise and soft aqua.
I liked the vintage brown tones in image one and five so I added these to my layout by using 'vintage photo' distress ink and the wood grain patterned paper as a border around my layout.
I thought my background stencil work with paint reflected the overall softness of the mood board as well.

And lastly although I decided not to use the banner across the top of the sketch I did scatter these stars across the top right corner as seen in the sketch with the circle shapes.

Now onto our amazing prizes this month!!!

Show Us Your Stuff - June Challenge

Hello Bloggers,
welcome to June! Winter is here in my part of the world and thankfully it's
crept up on us slowly and we haven't really had too many really cold days
as yet, but I'm sure we will have!
On to my share for today which is for the Show Us Your Stuff Challenge.

Our Challenge this month is to use the following quote-
"Laugh as much as you breath and love as much as you live."
Here's my layout.

The sponsor this month at SUYS is Embellishment Avenue and the DT each received
some samples to use on our layouts.
Mine was the lime 'Denim Days' embellishment pack which I've used
as a photo corner on my page.

My quote- typed with my trusty little 'Stott model twenty' portable typewriter that my
Dad picked up for $5
at a trash and treasure market!
What a bargain!!

And a close up of my background on which I used Distress inks and Distress Paints.

As always thanks for stopping by, and thank you so much for the lovely comments left.
They are vey much appreciated. :)
