A second She Art

Here's my second She Art canvas.
Christy Tomlinson is such a great teacher

i've watched most of the videos in the workshop now,
glad i get access to them for 3 months because i definitely want to
watch them all again.

so many different, wonderful techniques to learn about.

My daughter Maggie has been taking a lot
of interest in the She art (she likes watching the videos) and asked if
she could also do one.

So over Easter I finished my second canvas.
Here it is!

and Maggie did her first canvas!
I cut out the body pieces and showed her how to do each step and the rest was
up to her. she even made up here own phrase "She was Beautiful!" hehe!

The Scrappiest and Stuck Sketches

 the Scrappiest Sketch number 114
I did this LO a couple of weeks ago now.

It's based on this sketch, i used crate papers.

This second LO was also done a earlier this month and it's for Stuck sketches
i used this embroidered flower i've had in my stash for a while,
something my mum picked up and thought i could use, thanks Mum!
and the papers are pink paisley ink resist, i misted with a mix of
different coloured mists. Also some websters papers in there.

Stuck 1st sketch
and lastly this is a LO i did for scrapbudz boutique...but ahem i was i little too slow uploading it and missed the deadline, whoops!! Using some Echo Park-for the record range, love the scrabble type alphas in that range.
ok that's it for now.
cheers. x

I've been taking part in Christy Tomlinson's
She Art Workshop. My goodness what a talented
lady she is, and so much fun to learn from.
It's so much fun leaning new techniques!
Learning how to create something completely
different to my usual scrapbooking, as much as I love it.

I'm just learning to love something new and fun and funky!

This is the first canvas i completed a week ago.
and i have my second canvas finished aswell, just waiting for the
last coat of ModPodge to dry.

MME blog Challenge #22

Whoops i nearly forgot to post this Layout i did last weekend!!!
This Challenge is based on the sketch below using MME products.
Well i went through my stash and didn't realise just how much MME
stuff i had and i'm not usually one to mix collections
but i'm pretty happy with how easily these
different papers came together.
I used papers from the Breaking Free, Quite Contrary, Fine and Dandy & So Sophie ranges.

Along with the sketch the added theme was 'April Showers'.
I used some pictures of my DD with her little umbrella or Brolly
as we call it. Any chance she gets, the slightest hint of rain
and out comes the Brolly. She twirls and swings it about
having a just the most fun!

Once Upon a Sketch-April

Hi, Once upon a Sketch is a new challenge blog with the emphasis
being on journalling. So for this challenge there was to be no less than 25 words in your journalling.

I think i got the 25words thing ok!!! I journalled all the way
around the stitched cardstock and it's all about how the kids
have this insane desire to put bunny ears
behind one anothers heads everytime i get the camera
out!  Drives me bonkers!!
But i did find it rather cute when Maggie did it
to herself and her baby doll!!!
and this is the sketch used.

ok that's it for now and next week i'm hoping to have a
whole weekends worth of creating to share.
I'm spending the weekend scrapping
with a small group of ladies.
So i better get packing!
Cheers!

Get Picky inspiration

I think I'm getting low on the Emma's Shoppe by Crate Paper :(
What a gorgeous range it's been. I've really
enjoyed creating with it!
This is for the Inspiration Challenge at Get Picky for April.

This is the inspiration. I drew mainly on the burst of yellow colour and
the scattering of butterflies.

Cheers and TFL. xx

Oops nearly forgot it's Cybercrop night tomorrow at Chat with Charm.

see you there!
