Sassy Scrapper November Mood Board - PinkFresh Studio

Hi Bloggers, trying to post here on a more regular basis so today I;m sharing the recent release of the Sassy Scrapper mood board.

There are lots of gorgeous Christmas collections in the Sassy Scrapper store and each of the Design Team members will be creating with a different Christmas range throughout November.  I'll be creating with the super cute PinkFresh Studio line called Christmas Wishes.

Our Design Team Member Anita Bownds has provided us with this beautiful moodboard to kick off our November Challenge.  There are so many gorgeous images here to inspire you to create a Christmas project and link it here on the Sassy blog to win.

This is the page I created.  Apart from the obvious Red and White I was inspired by the gift wrapped boxes and that cute little dear wrapped onto the parcel on the lower left of the moodboard.  I decided to wrap my whole page with some seam binding and make a 'gift' of the whole page.

I really like the quality of the paper from PinkFresh Studio, it's a nice heavy weight and I used this  statement piece (Winter Joy) as the base for my page and outlined the words 'Tis The Season' to use as my title for the page.

The Christmas Wishes range from PinkFresh Studios has some really cute little animal characters and I've added one of them to this page from the die cut ephemera pack.  Isn't that little penguin just too sweet?!

The puffy stars come from the sticker pack and I added some enamel dots and sequins from my stash
to scatter over the page.

The paper leaf and bunch of berries I've used here are part of the Royal Menagerie line from Prima Marketing and you can find them HERE in the Sassy Store

I hope to see lots of
lovely entries into our November moodboard Challenge.
Cheers til next time from
Leonie Neal-Dawson.

November Kaisercraft pages.

My latest Kaisercraft post went life yesterday.  Posting it here as well.

Hello Kaisercraft fans.  Leonie Neal-Dawson with you today sharing the first of many inspiration posts this month by our design team, using our newest collections, Sail Away and Provincial.
Sail Away Paper Collection
Sail Away is a great collection to scrap your beach themed photo’s, or any nautical inspired photo’s.  It has wonderful earthy colours and textures of woodgrain and ropes plus bright pops of red and blue.
I chose to scrap some photo’s from a recent beach holiday on this first page.
Our Seaside Escape by Leonie Neal-Dawson

To begin with I used the gorgeous woodgrain of the Lighthouse and muted sky tones of the Ship papers as my base.  I layered some of the papers from the 6 1/2″ paper pad behind my photo’s and and added one of our wooden frames and a paper doiliey.

My niece is member of the Royal Australian Navy so for this next page I drew  heavily on the nautical anchor and compass images in the Sail Away papers and scrapped some pictures of her and my Son taken last Anzac Day.
Ahoy Matey by Leonie Neal-Dawson
Sticking with all blue on this page I began with some blue inks and stencilled the Anchor image from the the November release Template, Nautical Quarters.  I also used the Anchors C6 Decorative Die and created a banner by threading the die cut anchors onto a length of cotton.

Provincial Paper Collection
Lastly today I have a scrapbook layout with the Provincial collection.  I love the classic patterns in this range.  Postmarks, pressed metal and lace.  They all look great with the pretty shabby chic florals.

On the background Hydrangea paper I used another of our new release templates the Floral Quarters and stencilled with some texture paste, added splashes of Lime Green KaiserMist and finished off with stamping from the Provincial clear stamp set.

My August Projects For Kaisercraft

Hello I just wanted to share my August post that went up on the Kaisercraft blog a couple of days ago.
So read on for projects with all the August collections including a video - how to.
Cheers. :)

PhotobucketHello to all our Kaisercrafters!
Leonie Neal-Dawson here today with my share of the August collections.   I have some projects to show you using each of the three lovely Augusts collections including a process video for one of the projects.
ATouchOfGold_LogoOne of the reasons I love this range is for its selection of Black and White Prints.  They give you the opportunity to add any other colour or colours you like, which is what I’ve done for the page below.

I added green and mauve colours to my page that reflected some of the colours in the photograph.  I did this with Kaisercraft ink pads with some stamping and watercolour techniques.

My next page, also with the Touch Of Gold Collection celebrates and features some of the beautiful gold foil accents in this collection.   We just happen to have given our new car the nickname ‘Goldie’ so what better papers to use to document this story.

My next project is some Christmas Home Decor.  I made one of these paper wreaths on a canvas last year for a friend and was really happy with the result so I decided to make another for my own home this year, using the Holy Night collection.  There is a short video further down showing how I went about creating this Paper wreath.

Hello, I'd like to share a page created for the Kaisercraft August Challenge reveal.
This month it's a sketch challenge.

I've used the new Holy Night Collection which you can see HERE.

The challenge is to create a layout using this Sketch for Inspiration, with at least 80% Kaisercraft Products from any Kaisercraft paper collection.
You can rotate the sketch around on its side or turn it upside down.

You can see all the details and enter your page on the Kaisercraft blog HERE.

First Official post On the Kaisercraft blog.

Here's my first full Kaisercraft post as it appeared on the Kaisercraft blog last Friday.
Thought I'd post the whole thing here as well.

Hello! Leonie Neal-Dawson here today and I am so very excited and honored to be be posting on the Kaisercraft blog for the very first time as a design team member.  I am super excited for the year ahead to be creating and sharing my scrapbooking with lovers of all things Kaisercraft.
I have some projects to share today with each of the new July collections.  First up I have this page using the delightful ‘Little One’ collection.  I started scrapbooking when my eldest child was about 2 years old so I never really scrapped any of his baby photos until now.
“Sweet Dreams” Layout by Leonie
I love that this collection can be used for both boy and girl pages, it has a variety of pink and blue papers plus a mix of both with some brights thrown in for those that like to mix things up.
I chose the more traditional blues for my baby boy page but added in some modern mixed media techniques in the form of some texture paste stenciling and Kaisermists on the base cardstock.
How cute are these little elephants in the “Little One” collection?  so adorable!  I layered them here with foam tape for dimension on my page.

Next up I have some wall art using the ‘Fly Free‘ collection.  Let me tell you these were so quick and easy to put together, literally less than 30 minutes to create!
Recently my daughter, who is just ten, had a mini makeover in her bedroom.  New desk, chair, bed linen etc.   We had some black frames yet to be filled with anything, and the Fly Free range came to the rescue!  Perfectly pretty papers and elements for a young lady’s room decor.
It was so simple to add some of the quote cards from the collectables pack to the lovely bright patterns of the Fly Free papers.
My daughters’ smile said it all for me.  She was so happy with these simple decorations that completed her room makeover.

Following on with the clean and simple theme I put together this page, also using the Fly Free range.   Apart from the lovely bright colours of this range I also love the sketchy/doodled elements on the papers, fun and funky for teenagers and young adults too.
Using some of the wood grain paper from the Fly Free collection and these Decorative Die (DD704) script words I cut my page title and outlined it with white Gel Pen.

My last share for today is using the ‘Botanica’ collection.  I wasn’t sure what photos to use with this collection with it’s bright, rich green hues, softened by lavender coloured flowers.  Then I remembered photos of my daughter exploring the gardens down by the riverside at a local Hotel.
“Explore” layout by Leonie
The greens of the garden foliage were a perfect match for the Botanica collection.  I used the specialty paper PS416 Vine with its punched edge and layered some of the collectables over the printed reedy type flowers on the paper to recreate some of the same foliage in the photos.
I added some of what I like to call ‘messy stamping’ to the background.  Using the Botanica clear stamps, basically it’s just spritzing the stamp with a little water after it’s been inked up.  It creates a more textural – messy image rather than your traditional crisp stamped image.  I felt this helped soften the page as it already had the bold colours and striking images of the Botanica papers.

Thank you so much for stopping by the Kaisercraft blog.  Have you got a favourite of the July Collections?  I think mine is Little One..
Happy Crafting.
