at last...found some time

Finally found some time to scrap!
Have been doing this LO for about a week.
hate scrapping like this but just been so busy
i've only been able to do a bit here and there.

Everything except the flowers are from Bons june girl kit.
which is just awesome btw!

I often struggle at finding meaningful journalling, but
occaisionally i come up trumps!
I guess this LO was one of those times
Very happy with this one:)

while the boys are...

While the boys are playing Auskick, what does Maggie do?

Well she usually manages to find interesting little bits of plants or flowers.

which she insists on taking home, but they always manage to get lost or trampled on in the car. Often because she forgets about them as soon as she gets in the car to go home!

It's usually quite wet so the boots are a must!
Aren't they gorgeous! i tell her when i was five years old my rubber boots were
plain old boring black!

Lucky for her and us there is a small playground that keeps her amused as well.

My Lefty

Each sunday morning we take the twins to Auskick.
its the highlight of their week, without doubt!
Hamish' skills have improved heaps

a couple of years ago he struggled to kick the ball off the ground,
now.....

Well, he's a lefty (he likes to tell people his mum is lefthanded too)

and i know as his mum i'm completely biased, but i think he does a pretty
darn good job!

june 123 challenge

The word 'New', paint smeared background and white as the dominant colour.
These were the criteria for the june monthly challenge at 123 challenge blog.

This is my take on the challenge

been scrapping :)

Created this LO for the 'write now' challenge at Bons criteria were to create a LO with a photo of yourself more than 5yo and journal about things that will happen in your life. Use a non-scrappy item, stamp with paint, free hand cut paper and label stickers
These cluds were my non-scrappy item (some hyperfix) a sticky gauze dressing. And the cute little bluebirds were stamped with paint. Love them, think they look so cute.
I used some photo's of me at about 3 years of age, standing under a blossom tree in our front yard with a lovely camelia flower clutched in my hands. I think i remember those patent leather sandles i have on in the photo. I wore them to bed the day Mum bought them for me, hehehe!

this may take some time...

Some before shots of my study scrap space!
today i started cleaning this mess out, i have all but emptied that bookcase in the top photo.
i've run out of boxes to store things in, grrr!
i'm hoping to give it a lick of paint and get some new shelving in there aswell.
it may take some time though, there is A LOT of sorting
to be done!
Lucky i have an alternative scrap space!
i've relocated to the front dining room table!

another from camp

in the blink of an eye it can all turn sour!
i think one of her brothers wouldn't hand over a ball, or something!
whichever it was enough for 'lil miss sookie la la' to pay a visit!

this LO was for the room of the month at Bons

My mystery leaf raker

As it's the start of winter here, there are loads of leaves on the ground and i noticed the other day a pile of neatly raked leaves. Oh how sweet, I thought, my husband has been tidying the yard!

So I just left them in their neat pile sure it wouldn't stay that way for long because A) one of the kids was sure to come along and throw them everywhere and B) well the Claret Ash they were falling from still had a lot more leaves yet to fall. I figured I may as well wait til there were more leaves on the ground and then I would get around to dealing with them!

So there they stay til last Sunday afternoon when I dashed out in the cold to bring in the washing which by-the-way wasn't really much drier now than 6 hours earlier when I had hung it out!!

That's when I saw this

They are definetely not my husband's legs!! My mystery 'leaf raker' was my sweet baby girl, Maggie

She was enjoying raking all those Autumn leaves, so of course I though she had better have some fun with that now big pile of leaves.
"throw them in the air Maggie"
"huh?"
"Go on, pick up a handful and throw them in the air"
Well she soon got into the spirit of things.

And again!

Needed to do some more raking after all that leaf throwing!

And then of course......
more leaf thowing

even though it's not in focus i think this is my favourite.

On second thoughts i think this could be my favourite.

I love it when she does that thing with her hands to get the hair out of her eyes, so uniquely Her!

And just a couple more, because well, I took an awful lot of phots on Sunday!

So there you have it my mystery leaf raker revealed, wonder if she would enjoy doing some other odd jobs this much, maybe the vaccuuming...????
Well that's my first post, well not really my first,it took several goes to work out how upload these photo's and I still haven't got it all worked out yet!!
