Hello, Wow we're flying through January aren't we?
We returned from our annual camping trip on Tuesday only to leave again the next day
on a spur of the moment two night trip down the coast.
I think what's left of January and the school holidays will be spent very close to home
preparing for school and yes Scrapping, I have plenty of that to do.
Unfortunately and not to bore you with the details (which involve some very shoddy salesmanship by a large Telecommunications company in Australia) but I returned home to find that my internet and phone had been disconnected.
So I'm now in the process of applying for a new account, email etc which I'm told will take up to two weeks! Sigh.
So if you're wondering why things are quiet here that would be the reason.
Anyhow I'd like to share my January post that went up on the 2Crafty blog a week ago.
Here it is.
...........................................
Welcome to my first post for 2013.
I hope everyone has had a joyous Christmas and New Year.
I have some bright fun layouts to share today, perfect for a fresh start to the year.
The
Letterbox and the
ATC Picket Fence on this page were simply painted with Gesso and lightly inked and I added our house number with some Prima stickers
I coloured it with Faber Castell Gelatos highlighting the heart in the title
with a black pen.
Although we're still in holiday mode here, it wont be long before I'm in
back to School mode so I've done a Whimsical layout using a photo
from the first day of school last year.
grey ink then highlighted my childrens' initials in bright colours.
I used a pack of Critters and painted them nice bright
colours adding detail with Ranger stickles and a journalling pen
The 'grass' that the ladybird is walking on is actually cut from the flower scene.
Here's a close-up of the frame and the caterpillar from the critters pack.
The last piece of chipboard I used on this layout was the Flower Scene
it had the perfect touch of whimsy to match the critters in this layout.
I cut the flowers off the mound they were on and used it as grass for the ladybird to be walking thorough. (see above)
This last layout is one I completed for the
Kraft It Up challenge blog for their January challenge.
some opal dust for glitter effects.
I hope you've enjoyed looking at my chipboard layouts
today. You can see more on my blog

Cheers, Leonie Neal-Dawson.
