Scrap and Chat Retreat 2016

Hey all!  A couple of weeks ago I attended one of the most fabulous retreats.  Scrap and Chat Retreats.  Held at 'The Country Place' in the Dandenong Ranges in Melbourne.   The most fabulous arty, creatives gathered together.  It's so amazing to gather with people that 'get' the scrappy/arty thing and understand where you're coming from...Look at all of us.

Here are some of the pages I created at the retreat, the rest you'll see a little later as they were for Design teams.

Love this one using different bits and pieces from various companies.  Papers from Kaiserkraft, epoxy stickers from Cocoa Vanilla Studio and American Crafts.  And there's also a heart on there from Charms Creations, which I sprayed pink.

The background on this page is using texture past and a Crafters Workshop Stencils and the colour is from watered down Distress Paints.

Next page is using the Paige Evans collection from Pink Paislee, love those thickers!

And the last page today is this magical rainbow one.  Accentuated mainly with black and white papers and embellishments and black house paint a la Lisa Oxley.  A New Years Eve photo.  The rainbow effect was with Kaisermists and a smattering of water droplets to achieve a bleached effect.

thanks for stopping by, until next time.

Sassy Scrapper September Mood Board

Hello Hello it's been a while!!
Last time I posted here it was winter but spring is here now and where I live
we are all grateful for some warmer days ahead.

On that note the Sassy Scrapper mood board for September has lots of warmth to it
and we're hoping lots of you will join in with us and scrap a page
using the images below as inspiration.

Here's my take on the board using the Pink Paislee Solstice collection.
This collection is just perfect for the mood board it has the perfect colours and even some nautical themes like the mood board.

Pop over to the Sassy Scrapper Blog for more details and inspiration from the rest of our design team.

Once Upon a Sketch - December

Hello and Merry Christmas to all my Blogging friends.  Sorry if I have been absent lately my
computer is away getting fixed so I'm posting from a very old laptop which has been quite a trial.
But amongst all the busyness of Christmas I did find some time (very late at night) to create a page and card.

I had lots of yummy papers from Pink Paislee after attending the Heidi Swapp and Kim Jeffries
class in Melbourne in November.

So this page is using a mix of Color Wash and Mixed Company papers and embellishments.
It's for the current sketch challenge at Once Upon A Sketch
My Journalling is based on the criteria of 'my favourite month'
A list of all the things I love about January.

Here's the Sketch my layout is based on.

The picture on my page is a print of one of my Instagram photo's capturing a lovely sunset on the Great Ocean Road at Lorne last January.
So I loved this Insta title.

My embellishment cluster is made up of flowers, some of them altered with Color Shine sprays
I love the ephemera packs and resist diecuts.

And while I had all these lovely papers out I put together this little Mixed Media
Birthday Card for my Daughter whose birthday is in my favourite month. ;)

Thanks so much for stopping by and I wish you a very Merry Christmas.
