Happy Christmas Eve to all my Blogger Friends.
Is everyone ready for tomorrow?
I love the anticipation of Christmas Eve.
For me today is all about the waiting involved
to celebrate our Saviours birth.
Everything is ready to go for tomorrow
and it's nice to enjoy and anticipate the fun times that tomorrow
will bring.
I thought I would share the post I did for 2Crafty earlier this month.
All about Christmas of course.
Here it is.
.........................................
Gosh do I have plenty of projects to share today using
Chipboard. Better yet they are all based around the Christmas Season
which i'm sure you're aware is well and truly in full swing!
My First layout is quite traditional, using Christmas reds, greens and gold.
I cut up the Flourish Ornament Border which is usually about 8" in length.
Using the hanging baubles I layered them on top of each other. They were painted
first and then I applied some imitation gold leaf on them to give them a distressed, shabby look.
The Sitting On Santa's knee title was painted with Gesso and then stamped with a
script stamp, before adding more gold leaf and finally outlining with a gold gel pen.
I also used Ana's Vine on this layout which I painted before using some gold leaf on it too, so that all the chipboard
pieces tie in with each other.
Next are two 8x8" canvas panels depicting some scenes from
the Christmas Story.
These canvases were lots of fun to make and also something
a little different to a layout.
I used the Three Wise Men pack for this one, decorating the Wise Men with
Patterned Papers, rubbons and paints.
This pack also comes with a star which I've painted Yellow and sprinkled with
glitter and diamond dust.
The second scene depicts the Angels appearing before
the Shepherds. I used the Little Angels chipboard pack.
Patterned Paper and clear crackle paint were used on the dresses
and lots of glitter on the wings.
Plus some trims as embellishments on each
Angel.
Finally my last project this month is a
Layout created for the Show Us Your Stuff blog
using non-traditional colours on a Christmas page.
As much as Christmas themed products are lovely and fun to use
it is, still possible to create a fun Christmas page
without any themed products at all.
Why don't you give it a go?
Shirley's Frame and the Retro Stems (which actually have the stem cut off for this page)
Nice simple technique for this one - just ink and a gel pen.
As with the gold leaf in my first layout I used the same technique
on each piece of Chipboard
so everything would tie in together.
Brown ink and a doodled outline with a white gel Pen.
on the Everyday Font 12x12" Chipboard sheet
Well hopefully these projects have got you thinking about
creating your own Christmas pages.
