Hello Bloggers and welcome to the start of another Super
Silly Season.
I really wasn't getting into things much, well I guess it was only November!
I'd made a start on my presents but it was all sounding like too much hard
work and constantly rushing here and there.
But today, the 1st of December, after picking up the kiddos from School, my youngest asked
me if we could put up the tree? We always put up our tree the 1st couple of days in December anyway
but I just wasn't feeling festive.
But how can you refuse an enthusiatic 6 year old?
So I got the ladder out and pulled down the boxes in the garage
and the kids all helped decorate the tree, and for the most part they were
really enthusiatic about it. Even when I made them stand still for photos!!
I stood back and
let the kids jam all their many kindergarten made ornaments on the tree, they laughed with each other
over their crafty efforts, they Danced to Christmas Carols and messed around with
Santa hats and reindeer antlers.
It was.....special.
And all of a sudden Christmas is here and I don't care
that it'll busy and hectic and lots of work.
I'm looking forward to cooking Christmas treats and going to
sing carols and wrapping presents. It's all worth it to
share these times with my children.
(I'll remember to think of this post again tomorrow morning
in the middle of that crazy breakfast, getting ready for school and out the door on time routine, when
they are all driving me batty!!!!) haha
OK better get on with my Scrappy share!
Scrap the Girls Challenge this month is all about Babies.
December is after all the month we Celebrate the birth of Christ.
I decided to continue the December theme with my sample and scrap some
Christmas photo's of my baby girl.
I used Jilly-Bean Soup, Making Memories and Purple Pumpkin embellishments.
lots of distressing and misting added to my Christmas paper. I love the effect created when using
the lid off a glimmermist bottle to make these circle stains.
And the enthusiastic 6 year old I mentioned above, well
these are some pictures of her first Christmas and helping to
decorate the tree even back then. :)
I hope you're inspired to get scrapping some baby photos' - Remember Girls only for Scrap the Girls
Challenges.
Make sure you check out all the other CT layouts over here.
Cheers.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous Chrissy page and super cute photos. I am sure you loved looking back on those.
ReplyDeleteYesterday after my little shop....lol I was super organised and had the tree put together before the kids arrived home and then all we had to do was decorate it. They did an awesome job and not one fight....I know....not one. And they even stood still and were ever so co-operative for the photos. Where did my children go? That's right, like you they came back this morning.
Oh its definitely worth the fun the kids have hey..even when you are dog tired!! This is such a wonderful challenge and I LOVE your take on it! Take care and have a great weekend :))xx
