4 march challenges

Scrap the boys March challenge was to freeze a moment in time with a
specific time as the LO title.
i scrapped some pictures of Hamish
playing cricket at the beach this past summer.
Him and his brother have been obsessed with cricket this year
they play and watch every chance they get.
The amount of tennis balls that have gone down drains and on rooves well......
i wont even go there!!!
I used Basic Grey for this LO.

This second LO is for 123 to scrap using 1) light to medium blue 2)doilies 3)the word to/too/two in
your title.
I used more of the pink paisley ink resist papers that i love. This one had doilies on it, also
got some Martha Stewart paper doilies on there and a lace doiley!
The Picture is of Maggie after her prep class had performed two
cute little songs at church.
She was very happy with herself.!

Next is the WW1 challenge for March which was white, bright pink and artisan shapes.
So i think i got all those covered!
Gosh it is very pink though isn't it!!

And lastly this is my scrap the girls LO for March.
Using Prima and more Prima!!!
There were a bunch of fantastic 'she' quotes to chose as your LO title.
I chose this one because i thought it matched these pictures of Maggie leaving
Preschool for the last time last year. She wasn't sad about not seeing her friends but she was
just so happy about having celebrated with them at the end of a great year and now going on to
big school.
And that's about it for now.
TFL.

'There is no greater gift than today'
I used some photo's of Maggie bursting water balloons on her head!

and this second LO is a sketch from Paula's scrapbooking place
using some MME papers, chipboard emellishments and a picture of Hamish not at all happy with
Mum taking pictures of him (heheheh)!

8 years ago today....

Eight years ago today our little family of 3 became a family of 5!
How to grow your family in one easy step!!!
Those first 5-6 months were some of the toughest in my life. Sleep deprivation, post-natal depression, husband working away from home!!

That's Hamish Flynn (aka Hammer) on the Left & Andrew Robert (aka Andy) on the right.

I wouldn't trade those first months with these two sweet blessings for anything. I do remember lots of good
things it wasn't all 3 broken hours of sleep each night!!!  It was also; Cuddles lots of cuddles, seeing the birth of a big brother and watching him love on 'the brothers' as he referred to them, having the support of the best mum in the world!! She came by each day to hang out washing, clean, rock babies to sleep, cook, amuse an active 2 year old, heck she even stayed over the nights that Greg was away working & She got up with me 3 or 4 times a night to help me feed those
hungry boys!

I can't believe they were ever small enough to
both fit into this carrier!  Well, yes i can actually
and it was the cutest thing in the
world!!

One of my most favorite things in the world
when you were babies
was to carry both of you at once.
Arms full of love!
A feat not possible now, but they do both still love kisses and cuddles from their Mum!
Very thankful for that.

How lucky am I to be travelling this path with you, &
as your mother no less. It just doesn't get any
better than this!!
Happy Birthday Andrew & Hamish!

some storyboard LO's

Hi blog readers, i have three Layouts to share.
All of them are using the February kit from Storyboard Kits
this kit was filled with BoBunny, Bella Blvd, Sassafrass Lass, WRMemoryKeepers and lots
of lovely embellishments.
The first one is of Maggie, pictures taken last year. She was coming down a rather steep hill
while on a picnic she sort of slipped, slid and scampered down ending up with
very dirty pants!!
I also used some Pink Paisley stamps on this LO.

The next is of Greg and I, a selphy i took on a rather unique date!!

And the last Layout is of Maggie aswell, She used some birthday money last year to buy this Scooter!!

i added this cool tag from some colthing i bought a few weeks ago

And that's it for now, thanks for looking and thank-you so much for all the lovely
comments left.

Two Sketch challenges

Greetings, I have a couple of Sketch challenges to share.
Both for Bonsscraps.
The first one is the February sketch by Charmane Koch

extra criteria were to make up your own word. Had trouble thinking of a word
and eventually came up with my Daughters' mispronunciation of Spaghetti. Love the way
she says B'sketti.
Great Sketch for using up your scrap Pattern Papers.

And the second Sketch is by Tara Scobie is for the February Cyber crop
which is on this week. Layouts not due til the end of the month, so plenty of time to join in.

the extra criteria for this challenge was to use a photo strip of pictures,

use eyelets, and to use opposite or non-traditional colours.

for example I used blue and green
on this girl Layout instead of the usual pink, which by the way i was busting to break out!!
But i like how it turned out so all's good.

Cheers, Leonie.

some February challenges

I've finally started doing some February challenges.
I started out with this one for Scrap the girls
a sketch, (my favorite sort of challenge).

i've used some MME paper, and Prima alphas and embellishments.
this was the sketch i used.

and this Challenge is the 'write now' challenge at bons Scraps
to scrap some wedding photo's at least two and use the date as a title.
And Journalling of course!

I used some Prima paper for this and basic grey embelishments. The Alpha's are
Kaisercraft. And i used some House of Three clear stamps by Pink paisley.

this last one is a just because LO

TFL and thanks for your comments.
cheers Leonie.

Her First, My Last...

Sweet little Maggie. Her first day at school, almost two weeks ago now.
I didn't know how i would feel! I thought i probably should be sad and shedding a few tears at least.
But she was so enthusiastic about the whole thing i couldn't help but share that happiness with her.

My last child to start school, look at the four of them.
We're so blessed!
The Boys although not as eager as Maggie was, were still pretty happy to be back into the school routine.
Eager to meet their new teachers for the year.

Loved that you got up at assembly and loudly and clearly told the whole school your name.
I did get a little choked up when Maggie presented me with this little
gift bag at assembly(We have such great teachers at our school), complete with tea bag, chocolate, tissues
and sweet little poem.

I hope you have a wonderful Prep year Maggie.

organised and raring to go!

well we've had absolutely fantastic holidays the past seven weeks
but as they say all good things must come to an end.
I've been slowly organising all the kids school books, bags, etc over the past week

And tonight the night before their first day back i laid out their clothes and bags.
It makes everything so much easier in the morning when i organise things the night before.

And then hopefully i can get i heap more photo's tomorrow with little feet in these shoes and small bodies holding their school bags.
That's the plan anyway!
When i kissed the kids goodnight tonight Andrew said to me "Thanks for everything you did for us on the holidays"
You're such a considerate kid Andy, and believe me it was all my pleasure we really have had an idealic break.

But now it's time to start something new.
A brand new year of learning challenges for us all.
*****
Although we've been busy swimming, traveling, camping, celebrating birthdays, i have managed to sqeeze in some scrapping :)
here's some of my fav's from january.
for the 123 jan. challenge
for Bons Cyber Crop
another for the Cyber Crop
This could be my all time fav i think
for the January Room of the Month at Bons

And that's about all for now :)
