Escape 2 Create 2014

Hello bloggers sorry for my absence of late.  March has been
an abnormally busy month for me and to be truthful I can't honestly wait to wave it
good bye.
Having said that for the long weekend this month I did get some much needed
time away from my hassles and spent an awesome four days at Escape 2 Create retreat in Port Lincoln, South Australia.
So here's my E2C 2014 in pictures. - yes a lot of pictures sorry - and this isn't close to all of them!

My lovely travel buddy Raquel.  We drove to the airport together and navigated our way through
various check-ins, several explosives tests (why do they always choose me?), two plane rides, bus rides and loads of time to chat.

The view from our retreat.  Pretty special huh?

So happy to get to meet up with Tarrah again.

 The wonderful decorations.

My table partners - Great bunch of ladies.  So many laughs!

It was an absolute pleasure to meet this lovely and very funny
lady Anna Allan.

A big thanks to these two gorgeous gals Sandra and Trish for being so welcoming.
They absolutely went above and beyond to welcome all the out of towners.
Collecting and dropping us off at the airport and providing bedding for us.
Thank you.

Last but certainly not least Meredith and Amanda.  Fabulous organisers
of the whole wonderful Escape 2 Create retreat experience.

I have heaps more fun photo's (perhaps I should have just done a post on them!) but
we did do some scrapbooking on this fab retreat so I've got the class pages I did to
share today.

The first class was by Kim Archer and focused on Project Life.  A first for me
but I really enjoyed it.  We also made a cute little mini album using Project Life
3x4" cards.

Natalie Elphinstone's class was next and was lots of fun with some
tricky origami techniques making our own Chevrons and the 3D stars.

Gina Rodgers taught the next class and I thoroughly enjoyed learning how
Gina puts together a page.

And Celeste Vermeend guided us through creating this gorgeous page.

To be honest after I'd signed up for the classes I had a few second thoughts, thinking mainly that
doing four classes during a retreat would I have enough time to create some pages of my own?
However now I am so glad I took all four classes.  The Teachers were all so friendly and did an amazing job of teaching their pages.  And apart from my class pages I did get to create another 8 pages so there was no need to worry I still had plenty of free scrap time.

Here's one of the pages I did for myself.
I took the picture at retreat with my Instax and it's made up mostly of the contents of our goodie bags.
I used the stickers attached to each class kit as a further little momento of a fabulous weekend away
with a group of wonderful women.

thanks so much for stopping by.

  6. thanks for blogging about e2c Leonie. It was wonderful to meet you IRL… so glad you came to our retreat and enjoyed yourself. So glad you also felt like you had lots of free scrap time despite the 4 classes - i was worried too but with that extra day thrown in there was plenty! Got my fingers crossed for you for e2c 2015.
